Quality Control Features Of The Straightener Feeder

Uncoiled coil feeders are used to create the thin metal sheeting components of key in applications where heat or pressure is a limitation. The coil is cut to the required size as per the requirement, cooled down, flattened, aligned and fed into the works. The process can be carried to various degrees depending upon the application. With Coils, Straighteners, Electric current control and alignment are crucial in determining the performance level of the device. The straightener or wire feeders are typically used in short-line applications which require controlled current at high temperatures or high frequency.

Straightener Feeder: Coil handling equipment consists of an aluminum stamping press and a variety of different type of equipment such as an uncoiled coil feeder set. The basic function of the stamping press is to press the metal coil from inside the cast to the outside of the mold in a precise and consistent manner. It is important to use the correct type of equipment for each type of application. For example, the stamping press used to stamp aluminum ingots should have an aluminum alloy stamping plate with a minimum thickness of 0.2mm. To control the speed of the operation, the type of feed roller or handle and the feed lever should be suitable for the application’s requirements. Most importantly the press must be well lubricated.

Hydraulic Straightener: Hydraulic feeders or hydraulic straighteners are specially designed to withstand high temperatures. They are also available as air pressure pumping systems. The principle is similar to the electric feed roller system. But there are a few differences like the need for a high pressure air tank to provide sufficient hydraulic pressure, the use of a solenoid valve to control the amount of hydraulic pressure and its position whether it is placed above the feeding coil or below it.

Touch Screen Straightener: A touch screen straightener uses a touch screen that transmits a simple push on the signal to activate the mechanism. The advantage of this feeder system is that it is economical and can be used even by the inexperienced straightener users. However, this feeder system does not work well with large structures or with any type of metal that is not smooth.

High Tensile Steel Plates: A high tensile steel plate is used in the assembly of both the coil handling equipment and the mold making process. It is important to use only the best quality steel for this purpose. The steel plate is fastened to the top of the coil by high tensile steel plates. To ensure that the plates remain tightly secured to the coil, manual hand cranking action is required.

These are some of the quality control features of different straightener feeders. The best thing to do is to consult an expert to choose the right feeder system that meets your needs. Consulting a professional will help you determine the suitability of the product for your needs as well as your specific requirements for high precision and minimal maintenance cost. They can also guide you towards a product that will suit the special needs of your automotive parts making process.
